“I can be pretty proud about saying that I was able to sell snowshoes to Florida. I don’t know how you can get more Canadian than that. We had an opportunity that we came across in the Everglades. Now, that was not technically part of our territory, but it came in through government procurement sources and they needed a way to go through the protected areas where the turtles laid their eggs underneath the tall protected grasses. Snowshoes spread out weight, whether on snow or on grass, so I found a snowshoe supplier that was willing to take a leap on this. They didn’t even need to modify the product. I chuckle every time I think about that one.”
