Event description

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) in Warsaw is organizing a Canadian Sustainable Cities Delegation to Poland, taking place on September 30 – October 3, 2024. The delegation will also include opportunities to meet with Ukrainian municipalities.

Five cities in Poland have been selected for the EU mission: Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities which aims to deliver 100 climate neutral and smart cities by 2030. The event includes providing bespoke advice and support from the mission platform. It intends to act as a benchmark and innovation hub for other cities to follow.

The TCS's activities

On September 30th, a networking session for delegation participants will be held at the Embassy.

The Canadian Sustainable Cities Trade and Investment Delegation to Poland will be hosting the Smart City Conference on October 1st. This will be an opportunity to learn from panel discussions between delegation participants and Polish and Ukrainian Municipalities. Networking events and business-to-business (B2B) meetings with Polish and Ukrainian buyers of smart city solutions will be occurring as well.

On October 2nd, a Canadian panel and an event by the Polish Investment and Trade will take place. This will be supported by meetings with Polish and Ukrainian buyers of smart city solutions as well as a mentoring session by an established Canadian entrepreneur in Poland.

On October 3rd, a chartered bus will travel to Rzeszów for a program with the city of Rzeszów where a presentation of the city's accomplishments and development plans will be provided. This will be followed by B2B meetings.

On October 4th, the companies will be visiting Fibrain and ML System, they are innovative Polish smart city companies. This will be followed by a bus ride back to Warsaw.
