Event description

The Trade Commissioner Service, the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP), and Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada, are pleased to invite Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large companies to submit an expression of interest to join the partnering delegation to South Korea. This delegation will take place from January 13 to 17, 2025, and will include site visits, market briefings, networking events and tailored business-to-business (B2B) meetings with South Korean organizations and end-users in the field of circular battery technologies.

As part of the Indo-Pacific Strategy's Advancing International Clean Technology Demonstrations (AICTD) initiative, the delegation is focused on connecting Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with South Korean corporations that are actively seeking innovative battery recycling and reuse solutions. The delegation will help Canadian SMEs forge meaningful partnerships, find end-users and develop potential future technology piloting and demonstration projects. These projects are crucial for enabling SMEs to validate and adapt their technologies to real-world market conditions, which is essential for overcoming market-entry barriers in Indo-Pacific economies.
