Mixed Reality Silicon Valley - Canadian Technology Accelerator

The Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) Mixed Reality Silicon Valley is a program designed to support Canadian startups to expand their technology into the Silicon Valley.
Silicon Valley, renowned for its tech giants driven by advancements in Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR) is at the forefront of the extended reality advancements with leading corporations heavily investing in cutting-edge hardware and software solutions.
Investors, partners, and customers are looking for high impact solutions to meet the emerging needs of the market and customers across the following sectors:
- enterprise
- interactive digital media
- digital health and Health care
In response to California's supportive market, the Trade Commissioner Service will recruit 8 to 10 Canadian startups that are building immersive technologies including VR/AR/MR.

Who should apply
We are seeking participation from 8 to 10 Canadian startups developing Mixed Reality tools and solutions and seeking growth capital, as they look to scale up their technology to the Silicon Valley.
Your company must have:
- a revenue-generating business with a fully built, validated technology and is readily deployable in an enterprise environment for the following use cases:
- inspection maintenance
- remote assistance simulation
- situational awareness
- collaboration
- training / education
- marketing and sales visualization
- virtual user interface
- a passionate and committed team with market-entry goals for the North America region
- sufficient resources to target and achieve growth in the targeted market
- the ability to commit to virtual and in-person programming

How the program works
Over 8 weeks of virtual programming and 5 days of in-market visits to the Silicon Valley, the CTA Mixed Reality Silicon Valley program aims to equip high potential Canadian Mixed Reality innovators with the tools, training, support and connections to secure customers, investors, and strategic partners in the Northern California market.
The CTA Mixed Reality Silicon Valley program runs virtual programming approximately 2 hours per week from October 2, 2024 to November 13, 2024. Participants are expecting to be in Silicon Valley (San Mateo, CA) from November 18, 2024 to November 22, 2024, for 5 days of in-market visits.
The Trade Commissioner Service will collaborate with uniquely positioned ecosystem builders to facilitate and secure meetings with high-quality local investors and potential partners.
As a result, the in-market program and activations will include introductions to venture capital funds, business to business meetings, engagement with C-level executives at major Silicon Valley companies, as well as pitch opportunities and private roundtable discussions.
Finally, the program will conclude with an on-line wrap call on December 4, 2024.
This non-equity program is at no cost to Canadian companies beyond travel costs they incur. Participants should plan to spend a minimum of 5 days in the Silicon Valley.
