Cleantech in oil and gas workshop

Target Audience: Companies in the oil and gas sector that offer technologies and services aimed at enhancing production efficiency, minimizing energy and water usage in resource extraction, and providing solutions for soil and water treatment as well as greenhouse gas emission management.

Event description
Motivated by dual carbon targets, advancements in China's indigenous oil and gas technologies, energy security concerns, and significant industrialization, Chinese companies are increasingly seeking more sophisticated and advanced products and services from foreign firms in the oil and gas sector.
In this context, the workshop aims to:
- attract more Canadian oil and gas firms to the Chinese market
- enhance awareness of Canadian capabilities
- identify opportunities for cleantech solutions and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) applications in the oil and gas sector.
The event will be jointly organized by TSC Beijing, the Shandong Refinery Industry Association, and Sinopec in Shandong Province, home to the largest cluster of independent refineries in China and the leading CCUS project at Sinopec Shengli Oilfield.
Targeted Chinese companies include local oil and gas fields, refineries, oil service companies, and research institutes.
Event details
- The workshop will offer in-depth analyses of the Chinese oil and gas market and its technological needs from local industry insiders.
- There will be a pitching session for Canadian companies to present their products or services.
- Business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking opportunities will be provided.
- Participants will have the chance to visit the Qilu-Shengli CCUS project and/or a local refinery.
