" Our goal is to increase economic opportunity for Canadian business women by fostering commercial partnerships with Cuban business leaders," says Monica Heron, Senior Trade Commissioner in Havana. "Because of the high-level of gender equality in Cuba, Cuban women are poised to play a significant role in the future of the Cuban economy. This is an extremely timely initiative given the ongoing economic reforms taking place in Cuba, and the potential for increased Cuban/Canadian trade."
